All Star member Champion Brands is a globally recognized industry leader in specialty lubricants for over 60 years. Champion’s history dates back to 1956 when Ralph Lowe founded Lowe Oil Company. In 1998, Champion Acquisitions acquired Lowe Oil Company and changed its name to Champion Brands, LLC.
Located in Clinton, Missouri, Champion’s 450,000 square foot plant accommodates more than 1.5 million gallons of bulk storage with convenient rail siding. Champion produces and blends more than 300 products including fuel, brake fluid, oil, engine additives and lubricants for the automotive, racing, heavy truck, agricultural and specialty markets. The plant has ten filling lines and two blow molding machines to produce HDPE and PVC bottles. Today, Champion Brands is the largest domestic brake fluid blender/packager with the capability to blend, blow the container and package at speeds up to 350 containers per minute. They distribute their products to over 60 countries.
Champion Brands became a member of All Star in 2014, and has utilized several supplier programs including adhesives, material handling, truck seals, labels, tires for their delivery fleet, and resin for their blow molding operation. In the resin category alone, Champion Brands realized significant savings by joining All Star. With All Star offering over 140 supplier programs, member companies such as Champion Brands have several purchasing categories available to achieve cost savings. According to CEO David Lowe:
“Not only does Champion realize savings through the association, but we also save a great deal of time by utilizing All Star. We recognize the value that our membership has afforded us, and we look forward to exploring additional ways All Star can benefit Champion in the near future and for many years to come.”
